What can I learn taking private lessons?

The beauty of private lessons is you get to choose what is important to you. Choose from the basic obedience, tricks, manners or behavior modification sections to create your own priority list. Need help with a problem you don't see listed? Contact me at Info@rplusdogs.com and lets talk about it.

Why take private lessons?

Benefits of taking private lessons

You receive one on one attention assuring that you completely understand the skills being taught.
You are not bound by someone else's schedule and attend class when it is convenient for you.
You get to learn in the comfort of your own home. Field trips can be added once the skills you wish to learn are mastered at home. This will teach your dog to behave nicely even in distracting situations.
You do not have to miss a class due to travel, illness or other engagements.
Your session is custom tailored to fit your needs and is not a "one size fits all" group class.
Your dog aggressive dog is not a candidate for group class. Group lessons are not going to "cure" your dog aggressive dog. In fact, putting your dog aggressive dog into a group setting without addressing the underlying problem is likely to make the problem worse.

How Much Will It Cost?

Private Lessons -

Train in the comfort of your own home. Take as many or as few lessons as you need.

Cost $50.00 per one hour lesson.

Or

Package of 6 private one hour lessons - $275.00 package must be completed within 3 months of the first lesson.

Please note that a those residing outside of Apple Valley will be charged a travel fee.

Group lessons - Pet Manners

This is a beginning level course for dogs and puppies that have had little or no prior training.

Session length - 6 Weeks
Cost - $80.00
Open to puppies 12 weeks or older and dogs of all ages (It's never too late!)
Small class size ensures lots of individual attention.

You will learn how to train your dogs to do the following behaviors.

Sit
Down
Stay
Come when called
Focus on handler
Leave it
Loose Leash Walking
Don't jump on people
Prevention and correction of common behavior problems will also be addressed.

Saturday 10:00 AM - start date September 20, 2008

** All dogs must be current on their vaccinations. Titers OK. Puppies must have received at least the first and second set of puppy vaccinations recommended by your veterinarian.

Group lessons - Novice Rally O!

Session length - 6 Weeks
Cost - $80.00
Open to dogs who have completed Pet Manners or already know sit, down, stay, come and left side loose leash walking.
Small class size ensures lots of individual attention.

Build teamwork and cooperation while learning some pretty impressive precision obedience moves.

The skills learned in this class are helpful in both competition as well as real life situations.

Rally O! is low pressure, tons of fun and a super way to spend time with your dog. This class covers the specific skills needed to participate in a Novice Rally O! competition. Students will hone their obedience skills, learn the rules and have a great time!
